Varsity plans to make lectures available online, allowing differently-abled students to access courses without attending college

Differently-abled students studying in colleges affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) may no longer need to attend college to learn. The varsity is currently working on developing this software that will make learning, assignment submissions, etc possible online. The project, which is in the planning stage currently, will be implemented from the next academic year.

“We are looking to come out with an online software that will provide them an option of not physically attending classes everyday. Lectures, assignments and certain tests will all be made available online for their convenience. We are currently collecting information about such students and understanding their requirements. The focus will next shift to what can be done to aid their progress,” said Dr WN Gade, vice-chancellor of the SPPU.
